The King of Pop Has Left Our Planet

Not the news that I would have wished to mention, but the moonwalker has paid us his farewell leaving us uncertain and sad, bringing back many memories. Michael Jackson was the first pop singer I ever listened to when I was 11. What’s more ironic and sad that I was to listening to some of his early songs 2 days ago.

Ben, the two of us need look no more
We both found what we were looking for
With a friend to call my own
I'll never be alone
And you, my friend, will see
You've got a friend in me
(you've got a friend in me)

Ben, you're always running here and there..

You are always here Michael.

Ghost House

The door slams; a fading sound of footsteps on the stairs, someone suddenly giggles from silence, a trace of people in the kitchen and the lounge but you may not see them. A two levels with four rooms semi attached house on the top of the road. Where I live now is a sense of what it feels like undesired home. The reason I know they are not ghosts but living humans is that I get to see them from time to time when chance allows.

A Note On The Council Tax

Special band of taxes is the council tax which I didn’t give much attention to when I was renting the room from the ex-tenant assuming that it’s only the responsibility of the landlord or due to being mislead by the ex-tenant when she mentioned it’s all inclusive in the rent which for me the amount I was going to pay as the total. Basically anyone is benefiting from the council services such as garbage collection, street maintenance, lighting and anything in this category is liable for a council tax unless if you are student you are exempted from this tax.

If you are new to the UK and looking to rent a house, apartment or a room please discuss carefully the other expenses that you may have to pay such as the damage deposit, council tax and bills. There are basic details which can be easily missed during the deal assuming that it’s common regulation or rules everyone is aware of. The council taxes have different bands based on the area and other considerations, I will have to do little research on that.

Mambo Egyptiano

I am no big fan at all of sitting around watching football games. But when a great thing happens like Egypt winning the football match against the gladiatorial Italy it worth mentioning. Not to ignore the great match Egypt played against Brazil which ended with a score 4-3 to Brazil. Thumps up Egypt.

Did you know?

I stole this YouTube video link straight from Jeff Tunnell blog, and I find it inspiring and chocking.

All what I can say, do your part and the world will do the rest.

Today as of 18th June

Today I feel great for no great reason. What could make you feel blessed and lucky for living another day and what is it when you have already given up before you start a new day. Yesterday, it was awful, depressing and I was totally unwilling to take a chance of new day. I felt very comfortable staying in my bed for a discreet sleep lasting for 14 hours interrupted by a morning nightmare. It wasn’t much of a comfort as surrender; surrender to the escape. Only until 4:00 PM I was able to move my body that felt very heavy from the long sleep. Making my attempt off the bed, my muscles felt so weak, taking few more steps to realize a bit of good news. My knee pain has gone, and then I remembered the new non-prescribed joints anti-inflammation bills I used the night before. The pain was magically gone, haven’t felt that flexibility in my right knee for over 2 months when I first had the injury after intensive workout. I wouldn’t presume it’s totally healed yet, but it surely feels better. Let’s just say the inner affirmation I reminded myself with, was supported by some an outsider.

I almost forgot, the reason today is remarkable; it is because it’s the 31st day in London since my arrival. The experience so far is appealing and I am excited as much as I used to be to make it my second home.

Once in a while

Writing has never been my thing or my hobby when I was young. I wish I had the habit of keeping my own diary or even scribble down my random thoughts on a piece of paper. But I remember I used to draw a lot on my study notes or sometimes on the books pages borders with a pencil. I believe more in writing as a better way for human communication, it doesn’t only enforce more formal and clear way or addressing a certain subject but it also helps recording them. Writing recycles the thoughts of once self outside the body and the brain through the paper which allows the thinking to be visible. However, it’s not my intention now to write about writing itself, it’s in fact about my new attempt and fresh start of this blog to keep the habit. So every once in a while I hope I will come back and write something.
